Half the profit from this shirt will go to The Nu Nu Project. The Nu Nu Project provides support for orphan Burmese children living in a refugee camp in Thailand. Many of the children still have family living in Burma, but are unable to visit them due to political unrest and legal issues. The money earned through this shirt will go towards buying supplies for the orphanage; supplies such as mosquitoe nets and blankets.

Provide the support these children deserve by buying a shirt or by making a donation to The Nu Nu Project.

Half the profit from this American Apparel tote bag goes to support the children at The Nu Nu Project. The Nu Nu Project was set up to help a 66 year old Burmese woman living in Thailand take care of over 40 orphans in a Burmese refugee camp near the Burma-Thailand border. Most of these children still have family living in Burma who are unable to visit them. The orphans are in dire need of support and currently need supplies ranging from sarongs for the girls to pillows and mosquito nets.

Half the profit from this shirt will go towards providing a woman in an impoverished country a small business loan. This small loan will be distributed by Kiva, a microfinance organization that loans women the money so that they may pull themselves and their families out of poverty. These poverty stricken individuals are extremely motivated and will be successful once given the opportunity. These small loans are that opportunity.

The most amazing thing about these microloans is that there is a 98.57% repayment rate – higher than the branch you bank with. Once the loan is repayed it is immediately given to another female entrepreneur who will the have the opportunity to pull her family out of poverty. A little bit can go a long way.
